Sarah Takash

Sarah Takash is a dancer and visual artist based in New York and New Jersey. A proud member of the class of 2020, Sarah graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fordham University and the Ailey School with a double major in Dance and Visual Art. She received the Lipani Visual Art Award and departmental honors in dance. Her photography thesis "The Body Never Lies" would have been her first gallery show at the Ildiko Butler gallery in 2020. At Ailey, Sarah had the privilege of performing works by Alvin Ailey, Robert Battle, William Forsythe, among others on stages including New York City Center, the David Koch Theater, and the Ailey Citigroup Theater. Sarah trained at summer programs with Nederlands Dans Theater, Art of Ballet Zürich, the Juilliard School, and American Ballet Theater. Sarah loves utilizing her dance training to create unique compositions in still images and video.
